Affordable Property Management’s (APM) services are aimed at supporting the goals and objectives of the non-profit to ensure the best possible quality of life for its residents. We focus on building and providing strong community support in addition to providing property management and maintenance services. We provide a full-service team of property management, administration, accounting, and bookkeeping.
APM has established highly effective systems for attending to day-to-day issues and concerns through our experience and contact network from years within the housing sector. We ensure timely responses to emergency cases, accuracy when determining and implementing solutions, and most of all, we ensure quality solutions and satisfaction for Board members and residents of our properties.
All APM staff are trained in the Rent-Geared-to–Income (RGI) program, the Introduction to Social Housing course offered by the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association, risk management, how to read a Building Condition Assessment, how to use a Replacement Reserve Fund Study, WHIMIS, and other building related courses offered to the industry.
APM is certified as an Age Friendly Business with the Age Friendly Business Alliance. To better support our aging residents, all APM staff have been trained in areas such as communicating effectively with older adults, advocacy, abuse, and exploitation, aging and society, caregiving, end of life planning, chronic illnesses, and ethics in senior’s businesses. APM supports our residents by providing accessibility options such as providing larger text for easier reading, ensuring that our management offices are accessible, and providing clear communication. APM also took initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic to organize vaccine clinics on site at our properties to allow for greater accessibility for residents.
